I was pleasantly surprised when a waiter landed 4 half steak sandwiches on our table last night at CUT. "We didn't order this," I said, to which he replied, "it comes with your drink". I looked to Peggy, also confused, and decided that it was a good start to a year.
Following our shift from the standing bar to the actual bar, we caught up with Rico, one of bartenders we spoke with during our prior visit. While doing the bartender's dance, he engaged us with his knowledge on the drinks while regaling us with stories of his last visit to the Philippines and how he's always wanted to be in the kitchen.
Peggy and I were so happy.
And we also got 2 complementary Frenet Branca shots followed by a Mango-Infused Black Tea shot.
